Having tried other 'paddle aid'
products, the first thing we have to say is that RealWiiings DO
NOT put any noticeable extra strain on the shoulders or
compromise the natural hand position when paddling! We all
know that many 'dyed in the wool' surfers have used these
reasons for not trying paddle aids in the past - trust us,
with RealWiiings, this just isn't an issue!
In a straight paddle race, the
difference in speed is immediately obvious when both parties
are really going for it (one with RealWiiings, one without) -
in fact, with two surfers of reasonably equal paddle strength,
the surfer wearing RealWiiings can keep up with the non-wearer
without putting much effort in at all!!
But what about catching waves?
Well, in small conditions, instead of paddling like crazy to
avoid falling off the back of waves, you'll actually find
yourself having to ease off because you'll be going faster
than the approaching wave!! In most other conditions, you
really only have to put a fraction of the effort in, you can
start paddling for a wave later and if you find you need an
extra burst of speed at any point, RealWiiings will help you
find it!
