The best surfing eBook just got better!!
We
first reviewed this a couple of years ago when 9 x British
Longboarding champ Lee Ryan, released the first version.
You don’t really
even need to listen to what we’ve got to say about it - when
people like Taylor Jensen, Elliot Dudley, and the likes of
Carve & Drift are giving it rave reviews - then you just
get your credit card out, simple as that in our opinion anyway!
Having
been fortunate enough to have received one to one surf coaching
from Lee back when he was still based in Newquay (He’s in
NewZealand now, and is Surfing Development Manager for Surfing
New Zealand, what a great title!) I can tell you without a
doubt that Lee is as passionate about the sport as anyone
you could ever hope to meet.
He
lives & breathes surfing, and you can see that he is completely
in his element when surfing, and when coaching. When coaching
one to one he wants his students to have the most fun possible
whilst progressing in their surfing ability – something
which shines through in this book
Whether
you’re just starting out, an experienced surfer just
looking to hone your skills or learn new ones, or anywhere
in between, the chances are you’re going to love this.
In
volume 2, you’ll find:
- More great tips and advice from professional
longboarders including multiple British and European champion
Ben “Skindog” Skinner and 2009 ASP World Champion
Harley Ingleby

- Want to turn pro one day? Learn how international
longboard competitions are judged
- Watch video clips of the pro’s to
help you understand the manoeuvres in real time

The
scope of the book is vast, drawing on Lee’s experience
as a pro longboarder, top surf coach & pro judge - covering
topics ranging from the basic design of boards and fins and
how to choose the right board for you, fitness and paddling,
surfing etiquette and basic techniques - right up to the ‘masterclass’
stuff like ‘Hanging Heels’, ‘Helicopters’
and the ‘Joel Stroll’.
With
photos and diagrams throughout, each subject is covered in
detail – with tips and quotes along the way from some
of the best longboarders in the World!!
Whatever
level you’re at (short of being a pro rider), you’re
going to learn something from this book and I can’t
commend it highly enough!
